1 cup sugar
¾ cup corn syrup
¼ water
1 cup raw peanuts
1 T butter
1 tsp soda

Directions:

Mix ingredients and cook until the nuts begin to crack, quit cooking, turn off heat and add 1 T butter and 1 tsp soda, stir and then pour into a buttered pan. (Use a large cookie sheet pan with an edge)

After the nuts crack or pop and you add the soda, it enlarges like a baking soda volcano. When it is cool, break into pieces. It has the texture of styro-foam.
