3 to 4 lbs. beef roast
oil
beef broth
salt
pepper
garlic salt
1/2 small onion, sliced
bay leaf
3 to 4 drops hot sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Brown roast in oil (bacon drippings or butter) for about 15 minutes on each side. Put meat in roaster. Turn heat up under browning pan and add beef broth (vegetable juice or red wine) and stir until bottom of pan is clean. Pour juice over roast, add salt, pepper, garlic, onion, hot sauce, and bay leaf. Cover and bake at 350° for about 2 1/2 hours or until done.
