2 pounds of mild sausage...
4 cups water...
1 1/2 cups of quick grits...
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese...
1 cup milk...
1/2 t dried thyme...
1/8 t garlic powder...
4 eggs, slightly beaten...
Paprika...
Tomato wedges, garnish...

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage, drain well...
Bring water to boil, stir in grits, return to boil, cover reduce heat, simmer for 5 minutes...
While grits simmer, be sure to stir at least 3 times...
Remove grits from heat, add cheese, milk, thyme, garlic powder stir well...
Now add the eggs and sausage...
Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 9 by 13 glass dish, sprinkle with paprika and bake at 350º, until it's golden brown, about 1 hour...
Let it stand 5 to 8 minutes once out of oven....

Use the tomatoes for a garnish, have Frank's hot sauce available, too!
Serve with hash browned potatoes, toast and coffee......so, so good.
