6 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
2 cups unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and the sugar.
Add the eggs and vanilla.
Mix well.
In a separate bowl mix together the flour, salt sand baking powder.
Add a small amount of dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, a little at a time.
Mix until the flour is completely incorporated and the dough has come together.
Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Roll into desired thickness and cut into shapes.
Bake cookies on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden around the edges.
Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes, then on wired racks.

Hint —- if you have trouble cutting cookies, dip the edges of the cutters with flour.
