Ingredients:  
1 egg
½ c. milk
2 c. corn
1½ c. flour
½ t. salt
Dash of pepper
2 tsp. melted shortening (I used oil.)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg; add remaining ingredients. Beat well. Drop big spoonfuls into hot fat. Turn and brown on other side. Drain and serve with maple syrup.
