6 slices bacon
1/2 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced
2 med. cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 env. Lipton Golden Onion or Onion Recipe Soup Mix
1/8 tsp. pepper
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
8 oz. sour cream
Assorted crackers or sliced breads

Directions:
Directions:
In med. skillet, cook bacon; remove and crumble. Reserve 2 1/2 T. drippings. Add mushrooms and garlic to reserved drippings and cook over med. heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender and liquid is almost evaporated. Add soup mix and pepper, then cream cheese; combine thoroughly. Simmer, stirring constantly, until cream cheese is melted. Stir in sour cream and bacon; heat through. Garnish and serve.
