8 oz. hot Italian sausage links...
8 medium tomatoes, peeled and cored...
1 medium onion...
2 t oregano...
S and P
1 can tomato paste, 6 ounces...
1 clove garlic...
1 pound ground beef...
1/2 cup fine bread crumbs...
1/2 pound sliced mushrooms...

Directions:
Directions:
Cut sausage into 1 inch pieces...
Brown slowed in a small skillet...
Place tomatoes, onion, oregano and salt in a food processor, run just long enough to chop onion...
Place tomato mixture in a large sauce pan, add tomato paste and garlic, bring to a boil...
Drain sausage and add to sauce...
Combine beef, bread crumbs, salt and pepper, form into balls and add to sauce (no need to brown meatballs)
Cover pan and cook 2 hours over low heat....
15 minutes before finishing remove the garlic clove and add the mushrooms...

Cook your favorite pasta, me, I like Penne...
