1/4 pound butter
1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese
1 cup sifted flour

Filling:
3/4 cup ground nut meats
1 egg
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 Tablespoon melted butter
Dash of salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
For dough: Blend butter an cream cheese together. Add sifted flour and blend. Divide dough into 24 small balls and press into tiny muffin pans.

For filling: Mix all ingredients together and spoon into dough in muffin tins. If you wish, sprinkle some nut meats over top of filling. Bake in 350 degree oven for 18 minutes. Reduce heat to 250 degree and bake 15 minutes longer or until lightly browned. Let cool in pans for about 15 minutes or until they can be removed without breaking. When cool, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
