¾ c. unsalted butter
¾ c. brown sugar
¼ c. granulated sugar
2 large egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla extract
⅓ c. eggnog
2 c. all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
¾ tsp. ground nutmeg
¼ tsp. ground cloves

Frosting
½ c. soft butter
¼ c. eggnog
½ tsp. vanilla extract
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
¼ tsp. kosher salt
3½ c. powdered sugar

In a large skillet, melt butter and cook over medium-low heat, stirring often until butter browns and brown bits begin to form on the bottom of the pan. Remove from heat, transfer to a container. Cool for 30 minutes, then cover and refrigerate until soft but solid. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Cream together brown butter and sugars. Add egg yolks and mix until fully combined. Mix in vanilla and eggnog. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and spices. Gradually mix dry and wet ingredients until just incorporated. Drop by tablespoonfulls onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes until just set around the edges. Cool cookies for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to fully cool. For the frosting, beat together all ingredients until fluffy. Spread on cooled cookies and store in an air-tight container.
