Ingredients:
Ingredients:
½ cup milk
½ cup butter or margarine
4 tbsp (¼ cup) cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
½ tsp vanilla
½ cup peanut butter
About 3 cups old fashioned oats

Directions:
Directions:
1. Melt butter in pan; add milk, sugar and cocoa powder. Whisk to make sure there are no
lumps in the cocoa powder. Bring to a full boil.
2. Boil 1-2 minutes, keep the heat at a level to just maintain the full boil.
3. Remove from heat and add vanilla and peanut butter. Stir till smooth.
4. Stir in oats: I start with 2 cups and then add more as needed. Too many oats will make dry, crumbly
cookies.
5. Drop by scoopfuls onto waxed paper or greased cookie sheets.
**This recipe comes from Jeannie Dixon who was the cook at St Sylvester's School during the 1990's and
early 2000's. A big favorite of the kids.
