"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 Slices of Bacon
2 lbs Ground Sirloin, 90/10
2 cans of organic black beans
2 carton (26 oz) of cirio crushed tomatoes with garlic and onion
1 chopped onion
1 chopped red bell pepper
chopped garlic cloves
1 table spoon garlic powder
2 table spoons of chili powder
2 chopped serrano peppers

Directions:
Directions:
Start by cooking the two slices of cut bacon in the bottom of a large pot. Once they are almost done cooking add the 2 lbs of ground sirloin to the pot an begin to brown the meat. When the meat is about half way done add the chopped onion, chopped red bell pepper, chopped serranos, garlic, garlic powder and chili powder. Continue to let all of the ingredients cook together until the meat is totally browned and the veggies have cooked down a bit. Add the 2 cans of organic black beans unstrained to the meat and slowly stir it all together. Once that is mixed thoroughly begin stirring in the Cirio brand crushed tomato cartons. While I am cooking this I will typically add a little more garlic powder, chili powder and black pepper for extra taste. After the chili comes to a boil turn down the heat and cover it to let it continue to slow cook for an additional hour. Continue to stir it regularly to ensure it does not stick to the bottom of your pan.
