1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup mix
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
⅓ cup ketchup
¾ cup water
1½ soft breadcrumbs*
2 pounds ground beef

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the oven to 350º. In a medium bowl, combine soup mix, eggs, ketchup, water, breadcrumbs and meat. Shape into a loaf; place in a baking pan.
Bake for 45 minutes or until done. Allow loaf to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.

*Use stale white bread for making soft breadcrumbs. Tear 3 to 4 slices of bread into several pieces and place into the container of food processor or blender. With several pulses of the machine, process until crumbs are formed.
If you want to dress up the loaf, combine 1/2 cup tomato ketchup with 1/4 cup brown sugar and spread over meatloaf 10 minutes before baking is completed and it will thicken and get bubbly - creating a nice looking finish.
