3- 28 ounce cans crushed tomatoes
2- 14.5 ounce cans diced tomatoes
3 Tbsp minced garlic
1 large onion, chopped
3 Tbsp Italian seasoning
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a 6 quart slow cooker. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or overnight, to really get all flavors to mingle. Let cool completely if freezing, if canning, heat jars and lids in boiling water for 10 minutes and fill with hot marinara.

Optional: for smoother sauce, use an immersion blender, or put in a blender and blend to desired consistency (if using a blender, make sure sauce is cool).
