1 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
8 ounce package cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pound (5-ounce can) cherry pie filling
1/2 cup chopped walnut

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, brown sugar and butter and blend to fine crumbs. Add coconut and chopped nuts and mix well. Reserve 1/2 cup of the crumb mixture. Press the remainder of the crumb mixture into the bottom of a grease 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 12 to 15 minutes or until edges are very lightly browned.

Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add sugar, egg and vanilla. Spread cherry pie filling over cheese layer. Sprinkle with coarsely chopped nuts and the 1/2 cup reserved crumb mixture. Bake 15 minutes longer. Cool. Cut into squares to serve.
