2 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 Tablespoons butter
3 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Mix to soft dough with milk, that is as cold as possible.

Divide into 2 portions. Roll out or pat in 2 8-inch round cakes. Brush with softened butter. Place one round on top of the other, Bake at 450 degrees F. for about 20 minutes or until golden.
