1/2 cup butter
3 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup Karo dark syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

9 inch graham cracker crust

Directions:
Directions:
In 2-quart saucepan, stirring constantly, melt butter and chocolate over very low heat. Remove from heat and stir in flour, sugar, syrup, vanilla, and salt until well blended. Stir in eggs. Stir in nuts if desired.

Pour into graham cracker crust. Place pie on baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 35 minutes or until filling is puffed and center is firm.
