¾ cup vegetable oil
1 cup light brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. allspice
¼ tsp. ground cloves
2 cups carrots, fine grated
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder

1-8oz. pkg. cream cheese
¼ cup butter
3 cups icing sugar, sifted
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix vegetable oil, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl combine baking soda, salt, cinnamon, allspice and cloves. Blend together then add grated carrots to flour mixture, then add flour mixture to wet mixture. Divide evenly into 2 - 9" pans and bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan for ½ hour before removing. Mix cream cheese, butter and ½ cup sifted icing sugar and blend together. Add lemon juice, vanilla extract and remaining icing sugar. Mix until well blended.
