1 fresh firm tomato
2 fresh japalino peppers
3 green onions
1 can tomato sauce
1 large can whole tomatoes
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
cayenne pepper to taste, start with ¼ tsp and increase if you dare

Chop tomato, peppers and onions fine
drain canned tomatoes and blend them in a blender 1 or 2 seconds.
Mix everything together

This can be modified to meet your own taste. The amount of cayenne pepper I put in varies with the need. I prefer this with fresh garlic, it puts just a little extra punch.

I got this recipe from Alan Potts when I was put on a diet for high cholesterol which limited me to practically nothing I liked to eat. With using this though, it was so good, I put it one nearly everything and I began even began to love rice cakes.
