3 cups sifted confectioners sugar
4 teaspoons light corn syrup
1/4 cup hot water
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract or vanilla
Food coloring if desired

Directions:
Mix until smooth and glossy. Pour 1 teaspoon glaze over each cookie. While glaze is still soft, transfer cookies to waxed paper and decorate as desired. Let cookies dry before storing.
