1 T. butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb bulk sage sausage
salt and pepper to taste
2 T. flour
1½ c. milk
4 oz. cream cheese, cut into squares

Directions:
Directions:
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and cook onion until translucent. Add in sausage and cook it until crumbled and browned. Add flour to skillet and mix it well with sausage mixture until flour has incorporated thoroughly. Turn heat down to medium-low, add the milk, salt and pepper and mix in well stirring constantly until it begins to bubble and thicken. Stir in the cream cheese until melted. Serve hot over fresh biscuits or hash brown potatoes.
