2 cups softened butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
1 (16oz) can solid pack pumpkin
2 eggs
4 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 (12 oz) bag white baking chips

optional: 1 container ready to spread cream cheese frosting
1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º Grease cookie sheets
Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add pumpkin and eggs, beat until smooth
Add flour, pumpkin spice, baking powder and baking soda. Beat just until blended
Stir in chips
Drop by teaspoon about 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet
Bake 16 minutes or until set and bottoms are brown
Cool 1 minute on sheet, finish cooling on rack

Optional: Combine frosting and brown sugar. Spread on top of warm cookies
