4 oz. butter, room temp.
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 small can whole cranberry sauce
½ c. crushed walnuts

Frosting:
¾ c. confectioners sugar
1 T. warm water
½ tsp. almond flavoring

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º. Using an electric mixer, cream butter, adding sugar gradually. Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time, with mixer at medium speed. In a large bowl, sift together dry ingredients. Reduce mixer speed and add dry ingredients, alternately with sour cream, ending with dry ingredients. Add flavoring.

In a greased 8 in. tube pan, put ⅓ of the batter in the pan, then swirl ⅓ of the cranberry sauce. Add another layer of batter and sauce. Add remaining ⅓ of batter and swirl remaining sauce on top. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake for 50 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to serving plate.

In a small bowl, combine frosting ingredients stirring until smooth. Using a spoon, drizzle frosting over the cake while still warm.
