2 sticks oleo
4 T. cocoa
1 c. water
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla


1/4 c. oleo, melted
3 T. milk
2 T. cocoa
1/2 box powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Bring oleo, cocoa and water to a boil. Add eggs and buttermilk. Pour this into the flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon and vanilla. Beat together and pour into greased 17x11 jelly roll pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Add icing as soon as cake comes from oven.
