3/4 cup butter
1-2/3 cups sugar
3 eggs
1-1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2/3 cups cocoa
1-1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1-1/2 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Grease two 9-inch round pans. Dust lightly with cocoa. Set pans aside. In a large bowl with mixer at high speed, cream butter. Add sugar gradually, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at at time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Beat at medium speed 5 minutes, scrapping sides of bowl. In small bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to cream mixture alternately with milk beginning and ending with dry ingredients and beating enough to blend. Pour batter into pans. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350ºF until the cake begins to pull away from sides of pan. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans.
