¼ lb. butter
2 large packages cream cheese
1 lb. cottage cheese
1½ Tbs. lemon juice
1½ cups sugar
1 pint sour cream
1½ Tbs. vanilla
4 eggs
3 Tbs. cornstarch, 3 Tbs. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter. Let stand to cool. Blend cream cheese and cottage cheese until creamy. Add lemon juice, vanilla and eggs to creamed mixture and blend thoroughly. Add cornstarch, flour, and sugar...beat thoroughly. Add cooled butter, blend well. Add sour cream, blend until creamy. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350º for ½ hour or 45 minutes. Reduce heat to 325º. Bake for ½ hour or 45 minutes.
Leave for 1 hour after baked with oven door closed. Open door and leave until cool.

Grandma Lane made this wonderful cheesecake for many years. One Christmas she was so rushed when trying to make her cookies and cakes for Christmas, she forgot to include the sugar in this recipe. It was a classic moment when Aunt Stacia took a bite and said "Who the hell made this cake? It's awful!"
We could not stop laughing.
