1 stick butter
1 c. flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 ½ c. sugar, divided
¾ c. milk
2 c. blackberries or any other fruit, fresh or frozen
½ c. water

Larger Portion
1 ½ stick butter
1 ½ c. flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 ½ c. sugar plus ¾ c. sugar
1¼ c. milk
3-4 c. fruit
¾ c water

Directions:
Directions:
1. Spray 8 inch square baking dish with oil. Melt butter in the dish.
2. Combine flour, baking powder, 1 c. sugar, and milk in a bowl, pour into the butter
3. Add fruit, sprinkle with remaining sugar (use less sugar for canned fruit)
4. Pour water over top.
5. Bake at 350* for 50-60 min. Let cool 30 min. before serving.
Best served with vanilla ice cream

May use frozen fruit

Use a 13 x 9 inch pan for the larger amount.

Very good. The crust is a soft sweet crust. Best eaten the day it's made.
