1 Cup Butter.....................................................1 ½ tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Sugar.....................................................1 Egg
¼ tsp Salt.........................................................2 ⅔ Cups Flour
Sugar or Colored Sugar to sprinkle.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and creamy. Beat in egg, salt and vanilla. Stir in flour until just mixed. Chill for an hour. Roll into balls and flatten with a sugared glass. Or you can roll and cut out or use a cookie press. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 375º until edges are golden.
