1 lb bag beans
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 t salt
Garlic
1 t chili powder
chopped ham
Water

Directions:
Directions:
Sort through 1 lb pkg of beans. Rinse, cover w/ 8 cups cold water. Heat to boiling, boil 2-5 min. Turn off heat, cover and let set for 1 hr. Drain and rinse
beans. Add 6 cups hot water and bring to boil. Add 3/4 cup chopped onion, 1 1/2 t salt, garlic, 1 t chili powder, chopped ham. Reduce heat and cover.
Cook about 3 hrs, stiring about every 30 min to prevent sticking. Serve over rice w/ corn bread.
