2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 sticks butter
2 tbsp vanilla
4 eggs
5 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups old fashioned oats
3 bags chocolate chips (or other baking chips)

Directions:

1. In an electric mixer, beat butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
2. Add vanilla.
3. Mix in eggs, one at a time until fully incorporated.
4. Gradually add flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
5. Add oats.
6. Add baking chips. You can do all three chocolate, two chocolate and a butterscotch, two chocolate and a caramel, etc.
7. Spoon the dough onto baking sheets.
8. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes, or until they are just golden on the bottom. They may not look completely done, but they are!
9. Let cool on the sheet for about 5 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
