2 cups sugar
1 cup white syrup
1/2 cup cold water
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. salt
2 Tablespoon butter
2 tsp. soda
1 lb. raw peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, syrup,water and salt until the mixture spins a thread in cold water or reaches 230º on a candy thermometer.

Add peanuts, butter and vanilla and continue to cook until the mixture turns brown and reaches 300º on a candy thermometer.

Take off heat and keep stirring. Add soda. Stir well.

Pour onto 2 buttered cookie sheets. Let cool and break apart.
