Cooking Apples

For Filling:
2/3 cup white sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

For Topping:
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Slice the cooking apples into a 9" x 13" baking pan, heaping full.

Combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a small bowl and sprinkle over the top of the apples.

Combine the brown sugar, flour and oatmeal in another bowl. Pour in melted butter and combine well.. Spread over the top of apple mixture.

Bake in a 350º oven 50-55 minutes or until apples are done.

I love the topping so much, I usually make a double batch of it. Also, the topping is great on top of sweet potatoes.
