1 lg chicken, salted, covered w/ water and simmered until tender in a covered
pan. Remove chicken from broth and debone.
In a mixing bowl mix the following:
1 1/2 c flour
1 t salt
2 t baking powder
1 egg, well beaten
2 T melted shortening (butter)
1/2 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together and knead until smooth. Add flour if needed. Roll out thin and cut into strips. Let set to dry for an hour if time permits. Bring broth to a boil
and drop strips of dough in slowly. Do not stir. Cook for 10 to 15 mins being careful to avoid sticking. Add 3 T butter, 1/2 -1 cup milk, black pepper and deboned chicken. Simmer 1 min.
