8 large peaches
8 large pears
1 cantaloupe
small green grapes( about a pound)
1 can pineapple tidbits
Maraschino cherries (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and dice peaches and pears.
Drop into a brine (salt in cold water) bath to prevent discolouration.
Dice cantaloupe
Make a syrup - 3 c. water and 3 c. sugar. Bring to a boil
Drain fruit well and add to syrup.
Simmer fruit for 5 minutes.
Add grapes near the end
Add pineapple tidbits with juice
Put into sterilized jars, drop in 2 or 3 maraschino cherries if desired.
Fill jars, leaving 1/2" headspace. Tighten lids then loosen 1/4 turn.
Process in a boiling water bath for 15 min. Remove from canner, tighten lids, let cool.
Or- to freeze, let cool and put fruit in suitable size containers after simmering
