5 cups flour
1 package dry yeast (2tsp)
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup warm milk
1 tsp sugar
3/4 tsp salt

This can be made in a bread machine ne but tradition would be in a wooden bowl
1. In a bowl place milk, eggs, sugar and salt.
2. Add flour and then yeast
3. Mix and depending on siz of eggs you will need to add milk or flour by TBS measurement.
Place and cover in a bowl and allow to rise.
(If this is being done in a bread machine be make sure it is throughly mixed and allow to rise only one time)
4. After first rising gently knead several times, cut into 2 pieces shape oblong cover and allow to rise for 20 more minutes.
5. Place into 2 roasting pans half filled with boiling salt water (I us chicken broth).
6. Cover and cook over low heat but make sure water is still boiling. Do not lift lid!
7. Remove from pan with a slotted utensil and place on a large platter. Transfer to a wooden board or counter top.
8. Using a piece of dental floss or quilting thread or fishing string about 12 inches long slide under the dumplishings. Gently pull up the thread and cris cross like tying a bow about 3/4 inch in thickness.
The dumplings should remain fluffy. You can use the broth you boiled the dumplings in as gravy it can be thickened if needed with milk and flour.

Do not cut with a knife.
Serve with chicken, pork, over soup or stew.
