1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cream of tartar
3½ cups flour
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup sliced almonds (chopped)
2 cups fruit blend (or red/green glazed cherries)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Whisk dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Form two logs on parchment paper and chill.
When ready to bake, set oven to 325ºF. slice thin and bake for 5 min, turn over and bake for another 5 min. Let cool on pan.
