3 dozen little neck clams, rinsed and scrubbed
1 bulb of garlic, smashed and sliced
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 small head of celery, chopped
1 jalapeño, minced
1 bunch of flat-leaf parsley, chopped
1/2 c. extra virgin olive oil
1/2 bottle of white wine
1 stick of butter
kosher salt
fresh ground black pepper

fresh french baguette
fresh linguini, if making with linguini for dinner verses hors d’oeuvre
grated parmesan and parsley to garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Heat grill to high heat. Combine all ingredients, except the clams, in a large foil pan. Place on grill and bring to a boil.
When liquid comes to a boil, add clams and cover tightly with foil. Close grill and cook until clams open fully.

Meanwhile, if you are making this for dinner, boil a large pot of salted water. Cook linguini as desired. Plate linguini and top with sauce. Garnish with grated parsley and parmesan as desired.

Liz gave me this recipe from her friend Duckie. I love it in the summer as an hors d’oeuvre for a large group. A loaf of great French bread and you are all set. It is also great over linguini for dinner.
