Cake:
1 (15.25 oz.) white cake mix (I use Duncan Hines)
4 eggs
1 tbsp. flour
¾ c. vegetable oil
½ c. water
½ c. frozen strawberries, thawed
1 (3¾ oz.) strawberry jello

Glaze:
½ c. salted butter, softened (1 stick)
½ c. frozen strawberries, thawed
1 (16 oz.) box Domino powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350º.

Spray pan (Momma usually used a square cake pan).

Mix cake mix, flour and eggs on low speed. Add oil, water, strawberry jello and frozen strawberries until combined.

Pour into square cake pan or two greased/floured cake pans for a two layer cake.

Bake 25-35 minutes. Insert toothpick in center of cake to test for doneness.

Let cake cool at least 30 minutes before frosting/glazing it.

**Before pouring frosting/glaze over cake, poke holes all over cake and then apply. Enjoy!!

Growing up, this cake was a favorite at all family events. It’s very sweet but once the glaze went through the holes and you took a bite of cake, it was so moist and delicious. It didn’t matter how sweet it was! This is definitely one recipe that could not be left out of the my cookbook.
