3 gala apples
2 Granny Smith apples
1 (9 ounce) package yellow cake mix, such as Jiffy
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1/4 cup light butter, melted
1/4 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Peel, core and slice apples thin. Place slices in deep dish baker.
Combine cake mix, sugar, cinnamon, butter and nuts in a medium bowl. Mix unitl crumbly. Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
