1 tsp sugar
1/2 cup warm water
1 pkg dry yeast
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 Tbsp oil
2 eggs, beaten
3 cups raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve 1 tsp sugar in 1/2 cup warm water. Sprinkle 1 pkg dry yeast on water and let stand 10 min. Add remaining ingred. Stir in flour to make a fairly thick batter. Let rise until double in bulk. Drop by spoonful in hot, deep oil and fry till golden brown.
