1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 cup sifted Gold Medal flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans

Confectioners sugar for rolling the baked balls in.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly.

Sift together and stir in flour and salt.

Mix in nuts.

Chill dough. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on an ungreased baking sheet (cookies do not spread).

Bake until set, but not brown. While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar. Cool and roll in sugar again.

Oven temperature is 400º

Bake 10-12 minutes

Makes about 4 dozen 1 " cookies.
