Dough:
4 cups flour
1 cup butter
4 T. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 package yeast dissolved in 1/2 cup warm water
1 cup warm milk
3 egg yolks; beaten
Filling:
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 rusks (crushed)
1/2 pound almond paste

Directions:
Directions:
mix flour, sugar, and salt together. Cut butter into flour mixture. Add yeast mixture to milk and eggs. Add liquid to flour mixture. Beat together until smooth. Divide dough into 3 parts; cover and refrigerate overnight. Roll doughs out until approximately 1/4-inch thick. Spread with filling and roll like a jelly roll.
Place on cookie sheet and split top. Let rise until doubled (about 1-1½ hours). Bake in 350º oven for 25-30 minutes. Top with powdered sugar glaze. Makes 3 cakes. Freezes well.
