Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe

1/3 C. butter
2 C. self rising flour
3/4 C. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Cut butter into flour. Chill. Add buttermilk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn onto floured surface. Knead 3 -4 times. DO NOT OVER WORK THIS DOUGH!

Roll until 3/4 inches thick. Cut with 2 1/2" cutter. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 425º for 12 - 14 minutes or until brown. Brush with melted butter.

Don't over think this recipe. Ingredients work better cold. Don't overwork the dough or the biscuits will be heavy and tough.
