½ C. butter
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
2 tsp. garlic powder
(fresh, minced garlic cloves can be used for a stronger taste)
2 C. milk
1 C. grated parmesan cheese
⅛ tsp. ground black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1) Melt butter in a medium sauce pan over medium heat.
2) Add cream cheese and garlic powder. Whisk until smooth.
3) Add milk, a little at a time. Whisk until smooth.
4) Stir in parmesan and pepper.
5) Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency.
6) Sauce will thicken as it cools. Thin with milk, if desired.


NOTE: Whipping cream will make a thicker, creamer sauce.
