2 cups milk
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, separated
1 large can asparagus
1 cup grated cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Make a white sauce with the milk, flour, butter and salt. Pour hot sauce into beaten egg yolks, cook slowly, stirring constantly for 1 to 2 minutes. Add cheese and stir until melted. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Alternate layers of sauce and asparagus. Bake at 350 until set.
