Ingredients:  
4 cups Flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt (Sift these 3 together and divide by half)

1Tbs grated orange rind
1 15 oz package raisins ( i sometimes do a mix of raisins and crasins)

COMBINE: 3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)

1 cup Crisco
1 unbeaten egg
2/3 cup sour cream
1 tsb Vanilla

Directions:

In a mixer Cream Crisco and add sugars

Blend in egg - beat well

Add 1/2 the dry ingredients - mix thoroughly

Blend in sour cream & vanilla

Add the second 1/2 of the dry ingredients, adding the raisins and orange rind also - mix well

Chill at least overnight - no longer than 3 days

Shape dough (rounded teaspoon full shaped into a ball) and place on ungreased cookie sheet or baking stone and flatten to about 1/4 inch with a fork

Bake at º375 for 10-13 minutes or until golden brown - makes 6 dozen
