1½ cups All Purpose Flour
½ tsp Baking Soda
1 T Ground Ginger
1 tsp Cinnamon
¼ tsp Ground Cloves
¼ tsp Allspice
1 stick Unsalted Butter, softened
½ cup Light Brown Sugar, firmly packed
½ cup Molasses
2 Lg Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
½ cup Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Stir together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in molasses and combine well. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add the flour mixture. Beat in vanilla and buttermilk. Pour batter into a buttered 9" round cake pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
