Crispy Brussel Sprouts Recipe

Brussel sprouts, washed, ends and top layer removed. (At east 5-6 per person)

bacon bits (can used pre-cooked bacon, but real, freshly cooked are best)
1 small onion, or half large, finely chopped
finely chopped garlic (2-3 cloves) to taste
grated parmesan cheese (1/2 to 1 cup)
olive oil (approx. 3 tbsp.s)
salt, pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Fry bacon bits till almost crispy; set aside to drain on a paper towel.
Clean and cut brussel sprouts - if large, cut in half length-wise. Place in an oven dish so sprouts are in a single layer.
Add chopped onion and garlic, salt and pepper.
Drizzle with oil and toss to coat.
Bake for 20 mins. Remove from oven and add partially cooked bacon, stir, sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Return to oven approx. 10 mins. till browned and tender.
