3 cups self-rising flour
6 T. real butter
3 T. sugar
3/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 ½ cups buttermilk
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Place an additional 1/2 cup flour in bowl and set aside 2 T. melted butter.

Heat oven to 400º. Stir together dry ingredients. Mix in 6 T. butter with hands. In a 2-cup measure, pour buttermilk; then add sour cream and blend with a fork. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture. Have extra 1/2 cup flour ready in a small bowl. Use a tablespoon to "plop" a biscuit into flour with flour-coated fingers turn biscuits over in flour in small bowl. Shake off excess flour and put into greased pie pan. Fill two pans with biscuits; biscuits should touch. Spoon melted butter over tops of biscuits. Use back of spoon to spread butter, but do not push down on the biscuits. When ready to put in oven; turn to 450º and bake for 10-15 minutes. These are best right out of the oven.
