Preheat oven according to cake mix box.

1 can cherry pie filling
1 can crushed drained pineapple
1 8 oz. package coconut
1 box white or yellow cake mix
2 sticks chopped butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

In a 9 1/2 X 11 inch pan, follow the following steps:
1. Spread cherries at bottom of pan
2. Spread crushed drained pineapple over cherries
3. Sprinkle coconut over pineapple.
4. Spread cake mix evenly over fruit.
5. Place small pieces of butter throughout the pan

Place pan in oven at temperature according to cake mix box.
