1 lb. ground beef
1 onion chopped
2 carrots cut up fine (I use food processor)
6 oz. tomato paste
6 oz. tomato sauce
ab. 7 oz. catsup
ab. ¼ cup brown sugar (to taste)
¼ tsp. salt if needed

Directions:

Brown ground beef and onion. Add rest of ingredients and simmer a couple hours. (I use crock pot.)

This recipe originally was given to me by my cousin, Mary Louraine Hunt, at one of my bridal showers. I made it quite often for our birthday parties.

I always at least double or triple this recipe. I freeze it in small boxes and get it our when I need something quick. When I made it for birthday parties I 6X the recipe. The ingredients are somewhat approximate. I guess with the size of the onions and carrots and I don't worry if the ounces come out just exact with the tomato products.
